Clipper Data, a commodity statistics and consulting firm, said the U.S. only imported 264,000 barrels of crude oil per day from Saudi Arabia in August, this number is come down nearly 50 percent compare with the average of 2019, this is the lowest level of Saudi oil exporting to the US since 1985
The company expects U.S. crude imports from Saudi Arabia will fall another 47% in September to 140,000 barrels a day. In April, Saudi Arabia shipped 1.3 million barrels a day to the U.S., even making U.S. oil storage a problem. Saudi Arabia's efforts to revive its flagging energy market during the COVID-19 outbreak have been highlighted by analysts who say the country has gone from flooding the US with crude to curtailing exports.
